DailySudoku

Because this application is licensed under the BSD license, can I integrate it into my Sudoku game and have it automatically use the puzzles from the Daily SuDoku site?

You may integrate this application into yours as long as you comply with the BSD license, but it is the opinion of the author that you may not use the puzzles from the Daily SuDoku site without their permission. It is the opinion of the author that the puzzles are copyrighted and that using them in any capacity besides personal use could constitute some sort of copyright infringement.

This is the opinion of the author and is not to be construed as legal advice.

How do I use it?

You must first download the puzzle you want from the Daily SuDoku website. You can then run the application in 3 different ways (all from the command line):

  • DailySudoku.exe
Reads in today.png and outputs %Y-%m-%d.wsg.

  • DailySudoku.exe myimage.png
Reads in myimage.png and outputs %Y-%m-%d.wsg.

  • DailySudoku.exe myimage.png outfile.wsg
Reads in myimage.png and outputs outfile.wsg.

You can also run WinSudoku which will automate this whole proccess.
